Good Morning baseball fans. Yes, we’re getting off to a late start even by weekend standards, but I have a really good excuse: I don’t care about any of you. I don’t value you as readers, friends, or human beings. At all. [pats you on the butt] Alright, good talk.
It’s nice to be back to a full schedule of games. This way we can focus on the games we care about and ignore the ones that make children weep. So let’s get right to it.
Stigs’ Game of the Night: Brewers 9, Giants 1. That big fat guy you see right there with the buttons on his jersey that look like they’re begging for a relief pitcher to come in and spell them, that’s CC Sabathia and he just threw his second straight complete game. The Brew Crew is only a game behind the Cards for 2nd in the AL Central and they’re creeping up on the Cubs.
Hef’s Game of the Night: Dodgers 8, Dbacks 7. The Snakes scored 7 runs in the first three innings and then took the rest of the night off. Unfortunately for them, their pitching felt sorry for the boys in blue and decided to give them a few runs too many. I’m a little conflicted. I’ve been a Nomar Garciaparra fan for a long time so I’m happy for him that he had a multi-homer night. It just came for the wrong team against the wrong team. Doesn’t that dude know how much I hate the Dodgers? What a prick. Oh, and these two teams are now tied for first in the NL West despite being two games below .500.
Fetch’s Game of the Night: Twins 6, Rangers 0. The Twinks keep on winning and displaying an improved offense. Last night, they’re also showing why Francisco Liriano is still in AAA. Glen Perkins threw six scoreless innings, allowing only 3 hits while striking out six.
Mariners 8, Indians 2: The Indians decided that the best thing for the team would be to lower their trade values so that no one gets moved. This way, the team can stay together forever. And what better way to lower their value than by getting walloped by the lowly Mariners? Ibanez and Lopez homered (they’re trying to get the hell out of Seattle) and Felix Hernandez picked up his seventh win of the season.
Gonzo’s Game of the Night: Phillies 4, Marlins 2: I’m pretty sure this will earn it’s own recap, so I won’t say a thing about it. Sorry if I spoiled the surprise.
Roman’s Game of the Night: Reds 5, Mets 2: I’m pretty sure this won’t earn it’s own recap but who cares about the Mets? Jay Bruce is hitting again. Too bad he didn’t call me first to tell me so that I could put him into the starting lineup. Ever since that guy got called up to the Bigs, he’s been big timing me. What a jerk.

Even though the SP is doing well, they still need help in the bullpen. The Twins need him up here soon. Oh and also, last night was the first time the Rangers had been shutout all year long.
Livan Hernandez > Liriano

Allow me, Hefler. John Maine blew it. Again.
